Well designed buildings and public spaces are the subject of renewed interest and debate. Ensuring students on courses in the built environment have the appropriate skills for employers, needs effective partnerships between employers, unions, students and course leaders. The Centre for Education in the Built Environment (CEBE), hosted by Cardiff and Salford Universities, is one organisation which takes learning to the workplace to ensure all parties get what they want.
